CV Engineering served as the Engineer of Record for Hybar’s state-of-the-art micro mill in Osceola, Arkansas. The 250-acre facility was engineered to produce 650,000 tons per year of bar products using advanced electric steelmaking technology.
Planning
Our responsibility as Engineer of Record included complete engineering and design across all disciplines. The focus was on a streamlined, compact process configuration to reduce the environmental footprint compared to conventional steelmaking.
Design & Construction
The design integrated a modern DC electric arc furnace, a continuous caster, and a rolling mill. We delivered the engineering for equipment operating platforms, supporting steel structures, foundation systems for all major equipment, and all underground utilities and process piping.
Results
The completed facility stands as a next-generation bar mill designed for high efficiency and environmental responsibility. Our comprehensive involvement ensured design integrity and code compliance across the entire project lifecycle.
