Our story
CV Engineering was founded on a straightforward belief: delivering more than we promise. In practice, this means we develop quality solutions for real-world conditions. For nearly 30 years, we’ve operated out of Pittsburgh, PA, growing from a multi-disciplinary engineering firm into a fully integrated construction engineering and consulting partner for some of the most demanding industrial projects in the United States.
Our roots are in steel. Over the decades, we’ve become one of the most trusted engineering partners in the heavy metals industry, including serving as prime engineer or engineer of record on more than half of the largest steel mill projects built in the U.S. Our portfolio includes landmark facilities for Big River Steel, Nucor Steel, US Steel, Steel Dynamics, and PRO-TEC Coating. From greenfield flat rolling mills spanning over 1,000 acres to brownfield melt shop restarts, our team has delivered under real-world conditions, on compressed schedules, and in situations where the margin for error is thin.
What sets us apart is how we work. Our process is focused on total accountability. Our engineers have spent time in the field and they understand what it takes to build what they design. That perspective shapes every decision we make, from feasibility through final construction, and it’s why clients trust us not just to produce drawings, but to own outcomes.
Today, CV Engineering serves steel producers, heavy industrial operators, and industrial facilities where precision engineering, schedule certainty, and real-world constructability are non-negotiable. With offices in Pittsburgh, Italy, and India, we bring global capacity to projects that demand local accountability.
Our team
President since 2015, he brings 30 years of experience in project management, technology, and technical operations to the organization. Through his direction, the company has expanded its global presence by opening a new office in Tarcento, Italy in 2024, growing the Hyderabad, India office fivefold, and strengthening its roots in the United States through the continued success of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. He is committed to being a transparent leader who fosters trust, mutual respect, and encourages collaboration among clients and team members alike. Kalyan holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Kalyan Sennerikuppam
President - U.S. Division
Sharat oversees global operations and strategic planning. He joined CV Engineering in 2005 and brings two decades of experience in engineering and project management to the leadership team. His expertise in engineering management, construction coordination, and plant layout design, particularly in mini mills and the heavy metals industry, is instrumental in shaping the company’s execution strategy for large-scale industrial projects. Sharat holds a degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Sharat Gottumukkala
Executive Vice President - U.S. Division
Rohit is the Director of the Pittsburgh office. He joined CV Engineering in 2006 and brings 20 years of experience in mechanical and piping design engineering, with a strong focus on project coordination within the steel industry. His expertise spans the full scope of steel mill projects, from water systems design and site development to mill buildings, foundations, piping systems, and coordination with electrical disciplines. Rohit holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Sudarshan leads multidisciplinary engineering teams across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical domains in the Hyderabad office.** Since joining CV Engineering in 2008, he has specialized in engineering management, strategic resource planning, and cross-functional team development through a people-first leadership approach. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Project Management.

Director - India Division
Fabio is the Director of the Tarcento office, leading the company’s direction and overseeing projects across Europe. He is a seasoned engineering professional with over 25 years of experience in installation design, electrical engineering, and project management across industrial and heavy metals sectors. With a strong commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction, Fabio continues to contribute to the advancement of industrial engineering and management in his role with CV Engineering.

Director - Italy Division
Narender has been with CV Engineering since its founding in 1998 and specializes in the design and management of complex industrial and infrastructure projects. His experience includes steel and concrete structures, building framing and foundations, equipment supports, platforms, towers, water tanks, and crane runway systems. Narender holds master’s degrees in structural engineering and business administration and is licensed in numerous states across the US.

Krishna joined CV Engineering in December 2024 as the Director of Project Management. With over a decade of experience in project management, leadership, and technology, Krishna has successfully led initiatives to modernize systems, processes, and technology for major companies in the banking and financial services sectors. Krishna's strong data-driven approach, grounded in his background in mathematics and statistics, is complemented by his passion for mentoring colleagues and fostering leadership development.

Satish leads all non-engineering functions at the CV-HYD office, ensuring efficient, well-coordinated operations. He oversees project timelines, resource planning, and budget performance while driving process improvements across the organization. With over 16 years in the engineering industry, he brings strong expertise in operational leadership and project execution, consistently supporting client success and strategic objectives. Satish holds a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and an MBA.
Satish Pendyala
Director - India Division
Phillip brings over 25 years of financial management experience in project-based organizations. As CFO, he oversees all financial and accounting operations at CV Engineering. He has led U.S. and global teams across the construction and engineering industries and partners with leadership to ensure continuity and collaboration company-wide. Phillip holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Our ideal process starts with early involvement. Before capital is committed, we work alongside owners and leadership teams to validate feasibility, define scope, and identify risk. That front-end discipline sets the foundation for everything that follows.
From there, we focus on developing practical, real-world solutions. Our engineers are active partners through procurement, construction, and closeout, ensuring that what was designed is code-compliant and realistic. We coordinate across all disciplines, keep stakeholders aligned through transparent reporting, and resolve problems before they escalate into schedule or budget impacts.
Every project is different. But our standard remains the same throughout, focusing on proactive risk identification, constructability-first design, and a single accountable team from concept through completion. We provide steady, experienced execution at every step.
